Far Hills, NJ Public Records
Far Hills is an incorporated borough in Somerset County, New Jersey, with an estimated population of 935 (U.S. Census Bureau, July 2024 estimate) and 4.8 square miles of land.
🏢 Far Hills Borough Office
Far Hills' own borough government keeps its local records: council or board meeting minutes, local ordinances and resolutions, local permits and licenses, and its own budget and contracts. Requests for those records go to the borough clerk under New Jersey's Open Public Records Act (OPRA). In New Jersey, every municipality has a local registrar who issues certified copies of birth, marriage and death records for events in that municipality, and marriage licenses are applied for there, so the municipal office is the first stop for vital records.
