RecordsDirectory.com is a free guide to public records. For each town and county we cover, we list the kinds of records that exist, such as criminal, court, property, vital and divorce records, along with the government offices that keep them, including county registries of deeds, courts and sheriff’s offices.
What we cover
We cover all six New England states: New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island, with a page for every city, town and county. More states are planned and are marked “Coming soon” on our homepage.
How searches work
We do not hold a records database ourselves. Our search boxes send you to third-party people-search services, such as TruthFinder, which compile public records into reports. We may earn a commission when you use those services. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Use public records responsibly
Public records are a good way to reconnect with people, verify someone’s identity for your personal safety, research family history or simply learn what is on the public record. They may not be used for employment, tenant screening, credit, insurance or other FCRA purposes. See our FCRA Notice.
