Belvidere, NJ Public Records
Belvidere is an incorporated town in Warren County, New Jersey, with an estimated population of 2,545 (U.S. Census Bureau, July 2024 estimate) and 1.4 square miles of land. That is up about 27 residents since the 2020 Census base.
🏢 Belvidere Town Hall
Belvidere's own town government keeps its local records: council or board meeting minutes, local ordinances and resolutions, local permits and licenses, and its own budget and contracts. Requests for those records go to the town clerk under New Jersey's Open Public Records Act (OPRA). In New Jersey, every municipality has a local registrar who issues certified copies of birth, marriage and death records for events in that municipality, and marriage licenses are applied for there, so the municipal office is the first stop for vital records.
